March Evening Program
Sponsored by the Caxton Club and the Union League Club of Chicago
Please join us as we welcome Michelle Duster – professor, public historian, and author of Ida B. the Queen and Ida In Her Own Words. Duster will talk about the extraordinary civil rights legacy of her great-grandmother Ida B. Wells and how Wells took the World’s Columbian Exposition Committee to task for their exclusion of African Americans and negative portrayal of the Black community.
