Potter & Potter's Auction Preview Reception: Chicago By the Book Reimagined

Caxton Club and Chicago Map Society invite you to attend Potter & Potter’s Fine Books, Maps, and Manuscripts Auction Preview Reception.

It’s time to say goodbye to the Chicago by the Book Reimagined Project. These works will be auctioned on August 28 and all proceeds will fund future Caxton Club charitable programs. Join us for a reception to preview the books, maps, and manuscripts available for auction.

As part of the Caxton Club’s 125th Anniversary the club celebrated our newest publication, Chicago by the Book: 101 Publications That Shaped the City and Its Image, by commissioning some of the book binders and book artists who have been actively involved with our club to create a binding befitting our book or an artist book inspired by our 101 entries. The reception is free and attendance is limited to Chicago Map Society and Caxton Club members and one guest only.  Advance registration is required by August 24.  If you must cancel, please notify us by email to info@caxtonclub.org

NOTE:  Masks must be worn indoors.

Potter & Potter Auctions (5001 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL) is located at the corner of Belmont and Lavergne Avenues.  There is street parking as well as a parking lot at the rear of the building.  To access the parking lot, turn south on Lavergne and make the first right into the alleyway.   Once in the alley, the parking lot is the first one on the right.
