Part of his collection has been distributed to the Ransom Center, the Library of Congress, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. That’s why Dwight Cleveland has only 4,500 posters, lobby cards, and other ephemera now, rather than the 45,000 that he used to have. He’ll take us on a tinseltown tour, starting with the days when posters were produced using stone lithography. A hands-on, find-it-myself, what’s-the-fun-if-the-Internet-does-the-work collector, he’ll share highlights from his haul along with stories of the hunt, the capture, and the one that got away.
All luncheons will be seated at 11:30 am with program at 1:00 pm.
