December 2008 Luncheon Meeting

Drew Matott was a 2007-8 Caxtonian Scholarship winner. Drew, along with Iraq War veterans Drew Cameron and Jon Michael Turner, will speak about Combat Papers, a paper, book, and artistic project that they have initiated with war veterans across the country. Please note, for December 2008 only, the Caxton Luncheon will be held on the first Friday of the month.

The luncheon will be held at the Woman's Athletic Club, 626 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL. The luncheon buffet starts at 11:30 AM and the one-hour program will begin at 12:30 PM. The cost of the luncheon is $32. Upon arrival, enter on Ontario St. and proceed to the Silver Room on the 4th floor. Reservations are encouraged by noon on Wednesday, December 3rd.

There are many public transportation options to get to The Woman's Athletic Club. CTA buses run along Michigan Ave. stopping at Ontario St. when traveling north and at Erie St. when traveling south. The CTA Red Line station at Grand Ave. is about 5 blocks southwest of the club and the station at Chicago Ave. is about 7 blocks northwest of the club. Valet parking will be available for the luncheon. Several public parking facilities are located within a few blocks.
