We're trying some experiments for Revels this year.
For one thing, we will be in two new rooms on the first floor at The Newberry.
We'll have a silent auction only, in Rettinger Hall, which we hope will be the social highlight of the evening. Members will be encouraged to sip libations and exchange stories as they shop for bargains.
But that's not all: In a return to Caxton Club traditions, we will be entertained with live music and magic! The magic will be performed by Club member and magic professional John Railing, and vocal jazz will be by Laura Freeman.
Dinner will be a three-course buffet in the Baskes Boardroom.
Dinner is $63; drinks tickets will be available for $5 each.
SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS: To make it easy to donate items for the silent auction, members of the auction committee will accept donations at the November dinner meeting and at the December luncheon meeting. If that's not convenient, e-mail bmccamant@earthlink.net and the committee will arrange to pick up your donation. We ask that you bring along a scrap of paper with each item, giving your name and contact information plus anything you might know about it (such as: Where did you get it? Do you have any idea what, if anything, you paid for it?)
