"Caxtonian" celebrates 100th issue

December 2001 marked the 100th issue of the Caxtonian. Here are some milestones on the road to this 100th issue.

Volume I. No. 1 featured two of out more important members, Abel Berland and Bruce Beck, who had been selected as Honorary Members.

The Centennial issue of the Caxtonian (January 1995), was our first four-color issue.

Abel Berland's magnificent collection of English literature was featured in May 1996.

C. Frederick Kittle's incomparable Doyle family collection was featured in March 1997.

One of our most beautiful issues appeared in May 1999, when Dan Crawford favored us with a story and illustrations on "Floriography."

A new Caxtonian masthead was introduced with the January 2000 issue (Volume VIII. No. 1).

Photographer Art Shay shared some of his remarkable photographs and his own remembrances of Chicago writer Nelson Algren in May 2000.
